Week 2
Hi :)this first few weeks of school have been so stressful that yesterday, i fell sick.
i can't believe that i was so stressed that i had no appetite to eat and would feel like puking whenever i smelt food. so far, i haven't puked and i'm much better now after taking medication and having a whole day's of rest. i can't believe i'm letting module bidding, time table planning, tutorial balloting, new things taught in lectures get at me like that. i prayed for healing last night when i felt really unwell after i finally sent in my ballots for my tutorials. it was an agonizing experience and it didn't help to find out that certain tutorial timings had changed and i found out the night before tutorial balloting started that some tutorial timings had changed. the lecturer only mentioned to the group that there were changes during the lecture yesterday and guess the others had to be thankful the Cors server was down and no one could enter and make a wrong choice of ballot.
I have to say it's good to see you guys around school now and then.
My first week of school was like - whoa! i'm going to school! yay!
2nd was so-so. luke warm. cause of module bidding. and i had to learn all the concepts and know how of choosing the right combination of modules and using spreadsheet to consolidate all the tutorial and lecture timings to ensure there are no clashes. thank you all for giving me tips and advice on what to do, what modules to take...
Although the IVLE and CORS is helpful in a certain way, i think it's a double edged sword. especially when the server goes down during critical and semi critical bidding/balloting periods.

Take it easy bro... I had ambivalent feelings twds CORS too. It was supposed to make life easier but now we have to login frequently to check for the results. PLUS... where previously you know that you can approach a human face for an appeal or to explain your case, now the only thing you can do is to fill up a form. CORS definitely helps to reduce the stress from the administrator's point of view but for students, it takes awhile to adapt.
Hang in there & seek help from your seniors in your cell! =)

i'm much better now and i'm starting to adapt to school. gotta learn how to manage information well i guess. hope CORS improves next sem. :P
